Wisconsin Moves Up 6 Spots to #19 in AP Poll: Jan 30th, 2012

Gonzaga makes an appearance at #24 in the AP Top 25 poll this week, one of two new teams. Wisconsin got the biggest lift for the week, moving up six spots to #19. Gonzaga breaks into the Top 25 with a win at Portland, 74-62. Vanderbilt comes in at #25 with wins against Middle Tennessee State, 84-77 and Tennessee, 65-47. Kansas State drops out of the Top 25 this week with a win at Texas Tech, 69-47 and an upset loss at home to Oklahoma, 63-60. Connecticut drops out after a loss to Notre Dame, 50-48.

Wisconsin made big gains this week, blasting up six spots to #19 after an upset win at home over then-16th ranked Indiana, 57-50. Georgetown tanked five spots to #14 after a loss to Pittsburgh, 72-60. San Diego State slipped 4 spots to #17 after a win against Wyoming, 52-42 and a loss to Colorado State, 77-60.
