Toledo's Rian Pearson has earned the StatSheet MAC Player of the Week for the week ending February 6th. Finally, Kent State's Chris Evans takes home StatSheet's MAC 6th Man of the Week.
Pearson led all of the MAC in scoring (27.5 pts per game). He also put up big numbers in both shooting (50%) and rebounding (10 per game). The Toledo sophomore put these numbers up in losses to Akron and Buffalo.
Pearson led the Rockets in scoring and rebounding with 29 points and 12 rebounds in an 86-72 loss to Akron. That was followed by a team-leading 26 point and 8 rebound performance in a 72-65 loss to Buffalo.
This is the first time this season that Rian Pearson has been named StatSheet MAC Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is our own Walter Offutt. Honorable mention goes to Scott Thomas, a senior from Bowling Green.
