Buffalo's Javon McCrea has won the StatSheet MAC Player of the Week award for the week ending February 4th. Darius Paul from Western Michigan has won StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week. And last but not least, Toledo's Reese Holliday is the StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week. McCrea had great stats in shooting (70%), rebounding (9 per game), and scoring (19.5 pts per game). The Buffalo junior played well in a victory against Central Michigan and a loss to Western Michigan.

McCrea added 2 blocked shots and 80% shooting in 31 minutes in a 91-73 win against Central Michigan. That was followed by a team-leading 22 point and 10 rebound performance in a 71-60 loss to Western Michigan.

This is the first time that Javon McCrea has been named the StatSheet MAC Player of the Week. However, he has come in second once. The runner-up this week is Akron junior Alex Abreu. Honorable mention goes to Zeke Marshall, a senior from Akron.

StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week: Western Michigan's Darius Paul

Darius Paul played an average of 29 minutes as a starter for Western Michigan. He was number one among all MAC freshmen in rebounding (7.5 per game). In a late 72-68 win over Miami (OH), Paul led the Broncos in rebounding with 7 and added 5 assists. Then in a 71-60 win over Buffalo, he added 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Darius Paul has won the StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week an astounding 5 times. Jarryn Skeete from Buffalo gets runner-up. Pat Forsythe from Akron takes honorable mention.

StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week: Toledo's Reese Holliday

Junior Reese Holliday, a 6-4 reserve guard, averaged 19 minutes over two games for the Rockets. In an 85-78 win against Ball State, Holliday put up 16 points and 4 rebounds. Then in a last-minute 69-64 win over Northern Illinois, he racked up 6 points and 5 rebounds.

Reese Holliday has won the StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week a total of 3 times. David Brown, a junior guard from Western Michigan, is runner up. Craig Sealey, a junior forward from Bowling Green, earns honorable mention. Ohio has one StatSheet MAC Player of the Week win this season.
